http://mervius.com/pastrants.html Fantastica Daily Six Days in Roswell -- September was a pretty dry month for movies having anything to do with science fiction, fantasy, and/or horror. Heck, a month that starts out with Highlander: Endgame is doomed, right? But now we're into October, and today Six Days in Roswell becomes available on VHS. And if it's any indication, October should be the converse of September. Yes, this little documentary from producer Roger Nygard (Trekkies) and Timothy B. Johnson is a funny little gem. It takes a look at 1997's celebration in Roswell, New Mexico, of UFO enthusiasts. This film doesn't try to provide evidence either way on the issue (i.e. of whether a UFO crashed in that area in the 1940s), but rather takes an amusing look at how people are still reacting to the question itself. If this documentary is even half-way accurate, then I wouldn't want to spend any time in Roswell. You can order this VHS directly from Beatnik Home Entertainment (secure server, and all that). If you'd like a peek into the film, you can check out the trailer, right here.
