"Six Days in Roswell" (USA)

Twin Cities native Roger Nygard made last year's lively "Trekkies," a documentary that was marred by the fake-o appearance of comic actor Rich Kronfeld (better known as Dr. Sphincter) as one of the supposed "Star Trek" fanatics.

He made you wonder if all the other Trekkies were fake, too, but his involvement isn't quite as jarring here. There are some obviously set-up scenes, but mostly it's just Kronfeld, interacting with citizens of Roswell, N.M., the UFO capital of the world, with no editorializing necessary. A priceless highlight is "Roswell, the Musical," a riotously awful small-town production that recalls the musical theater spoof, "Waiting for Guffman," but that is apparently real.
7 p.m., April 29, Heights Theatre.
